As we approach the 1st anniversary of Surbiton Community Fridge in October 2023, New Era Community Projects wishes to extend our gratitude for the invaluable support from the Kingston Upon Thames community. With mixed emotions, we announce our withdrawal from the Surbiton Community Fridge initiative.
A Heartfelt Transition
As we navigate this transition, we want to assure our supporters that we made this decision with careful consideration. It allows us to focus our efforts and resources on initiatives that align more closely with our core mission and vision.
Commitment to Community
Our dedication to the Kingston community remains unwavering. We are committed to continuing our work at The Barn, located at the rear of The Museum of Today. This space will serve as a hub for non-perishable and non-consumable surplus items.
While we bid farewell to the Surbiton Community Fridge, we will introduce a new initiative to support residents facing food insecurity in the coming months. Stay tuned for more details on this impactful project.
Embracing Change, Strengthening Community
Our withdrawal from the Surbiton Community Fridge initiative marks a significant turning point in our journey. We remain steadfast in our commitment to Kingston Upon Thames, focusing on initiatives that address the cost-of-living crisis, food poverty, and social anxiety. Together, we will continue to build a resilient and empowered community.
