Our Team

Paul Cockle

Founder & Director

Introducing Paul, founder of Angels Of The Hood, a community group known for collecting surplus food and distributing it to those in need. Paul’s passion for community support led him to establish New Era Community Projects, an organisation dedicated to driving initiatives for the betterment of our children’s future.

Bob Bollen

Director

Bob is a passionate retiree from the IT industry with a keen eye on the future of humanity. Climate change and the state of our beloved planet Earth, deeply trouble him. He sees an alarming number of people in the UK and worldwide falling into poverty. Continued growth in population and consumption on a finite planet is simply not sustainable. Yet, here we are!

Bob believes we should start with the most pressing needs, such as providing food and basic necessities, to make an immediate difference in local people’s lives. Passionate about engaging with individuals in need, he asks them how we can help them build better lives.

Through New Era Community Projects, Bob continues to look for initiatives that can pave the way for a transition to different ways of living. Encouraging concepts like growing our own food and showing the benefits of bottom-up decision-making processes; ultimately he wants to help communities.

Bob’s optimism and pragmatism lead him to hope that change is within our reach. By working together and taking action at the local level, we can create a brighter future for all.

Michele Lewington

Project Co-ordinator

Michele Lewington is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in entrepreneurship, non-profit work, and community initiatives. As the Managing Director and Co-Founder of an IT Security company established in 1993, she played a pivotal role in building and growing the business before successfully selling it and opting for early retirement.

With a deep sense of purpose, Michele joined From One Home To Another, a non-profit organisation, to create a local food hub providing emergency care packages to individuals and families in need. Michele showed exceptional resourcefulness; by building a network of community donors and local businesses, she ensured sustained support for the food hub, vital during the post-COVID period.

Recognising alignment with Paul’s and Angel of the Hood’s initiatives, all focused on fighting food insecurity, Michele joined New Era Community Project’s management team, becoming an integral part of their shared vision. Michele’s impactful projects and unwavering commitment to community welfare have made a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in need.
